Office Supplies are BORING
(Despite your love for “Dunder Mifflin”)
Our parent company, Value Business Products, is an online B2B office supplies distributor and we’ve been around since 1980 when my Dad started out going door to door selling and repairing typewriters. My Mom took ownership in the Mid-90’s and got our company involved in Promotional Products (SWAG).
In 2012 I joined the family business full time with the intent of growing our promotional products department. The name SwagSam was born in 2013 while at a nation-wide Office Supplies Convention. The reason they gave me this name is I truly could not relate to the office supply industry and all I’d talk about is how much I believe in the power of SWAG.
Hmmm … “SwagSam” – That has a nice ring to it
I brought the name home with me back to Silicon Valley and my friends through the Silicon Valley Young Professionals embraced the SwagSam name as I would constantly shower my friends with ValueBP SWAG (everything from trendy t-shirts, freezable koozies, Emergency Chargers, Shopping Bags, and much much more!) In January of 2017, I launched the WhatUp Silicon Valley PODCAST with my good friend Sergio Oliveri. In May of this same year I decided I wanted to take the “SwagSam Brand” to the next level and create my own SwagSam PODCAST, BLOG, and write a BOOK as well. So, here’s to chasing your dreams and never giving up!
